Iceland eSIM — questions, answered
What is the best eSIM for Iceland?
Wayfarro's Iceland eSIM starts at $4 for 1GB over 7 days, running on the strongest local networks. It's delivered instantly by email, installs in about two minutes, and you can top it up mid-trip without reinstalling anything.
When should I buy my Iceland eSIM?
Anytime before you travel. Install it at home on Wi-Fi, and it activates when you land and connect to a local network — so buying a few days early costs you nothing.
Will my phone work with an eSIM?
Almost every phone released since 2019 supports eSIM — iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and recent Samsung Galaxy models. Check your exact model in our compatibility list before buying; it takes ten seconds.
Do I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. Your Wayfarro eSIM only carries data and sits beside your normal SIM. WhatsApp, iMessage, and verification texts keep using your existing number exactly as before.
Can I share data with my laptop?
Yes — personal hotspot and tethering are supported on all Wayfarro plans, at no extra charge.
What happens if I run out of data in Iceland?
Top up from your Wayfarro email receipt or account in two taps. Top-ups apply to the eSIM you already installed — no new QR code, no reinstalling.
What if it doesn't work?
Our support team responds around the clock. If we can't get your eSIM working, you get a full refund to your card — and if your plans change before you install it, the full amount comes back as Wayfarro credit. See our refund policy for details.
